DON'T SAY YOU CAN'T WHEN GOD SAYS YOU CAN

There are lots of ministers telling the church what they cannot do, where they cannot go in direct opposition to what God says in His Word.

Num 23:19 NIV God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

Num 23:20 I have received a command to bless; he has blessed, and I cannot change it.

It is time we began to hear what we can do, it is time the Church was told that God has declared them to be, winners not losers.

2 Cor 2:14 KJV Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

It is time we all lived up to the inheritance that God has given us in Christ Jesus.

God is not a liar, His Word is the Truth, and it sets you free when you act on it and believe it.

Today too many Christians are constantly talking about what they don't have, what they lack, what they cannot do and what they are not.

These negative attitudes in themselves are bad enough, but they are absolutely appalling in the light of God's Word and a contradiction off it.

Don't say you can't when God says you can!

Phil 4:13 NIV I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

It is time to stop glorifying defeat, lack, sickness, and begin to glorify God in the victory, supply, health.

It is time to turn your excuses into testimonies.

Can you say Amen?

There is a challenging story in God's Word about a 10 to 2 vote for the negative by God's people.

The story is found in the book of Numbers commencing in Chapter 13.

Let me give you a brief summary of the account remembering that 1 Cor 10:11 NIV These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the fulfillment of the ages has come.

The land was given to the people. God gave them a promise YOU CAN. All they had to do was go in and possess it, no fighting to be done, just possess it in the name of The Lord.

Moses sent out the 12 spies, to search the country and examine it on behalf of the people. All 12 returned with exciting reports of the rich fertile prosperous land that was promised to them, they all agreed on that and even brought back some of the evidence to prove it.

But then they had a division in their reports, 10 of them said in Num 13:31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.

However 2 of them Joshua and Caleb said Num 13:30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.

God said YOU CAN!

10 said WE CAN'T!

2 said WE CAN!

That's a 10 to 2 vote for the negative, for unbelief. A minority vote for faith and believing God' Word.

Psa 133:1 KJV. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

Psa 133:2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

Psa 133:3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

What a deplorable situation they found themselves in because of the unbelief. It was unbelief that kept them out of the blessing.

Unfortunately this scene is being play over and over again in churches across this world today.

Unbelief is keeping the children of God out of the blessings of God.

YOU INTERPRET YOUR SURROUNDINGS ACCORDING TO YOUR HEART.

The 12 men all specifically chosen as leaders of the tribes, were intelligent, capable men. They all walked together and saw the same things. The circumstances were identical, but what happened to their testimonies?

10 reported the situation as hopeless!

2 declared Yes we can, we are able!

They interpreted the situation according to their hearts, just like you and me today.

2 people can be faced with the same sickness, the same family problem, the same need.

1 says, "I am well able to overcome it by God's strength!"

The other says, "I am not able this is too big for me to handle!"

There are 3 G's in this story.

God, Giants and Grasshoppers!

The 10 brought a dismal, despairing, faithless report, in fact the Living Bible puts it like this : Num 13:32 So the majority report of the spies was negative: "The land is full of warriors, the people are powerfully built,

Num 13:33 and we saw some of the Anakim there, descendants of the ancient race of giants. We felt like grasshoppers before them, they were so tall!"

The 10 unbelieving spies forgot GOD, saw the GIANTS, and felt like GRASSHOPPERS.

Joshua and Caleb the 2 who were filled with positive faith in God's ability and His Word believed GOD and the GIANTS looked like GRASSHOPPERS.

10 looked to the GIANTS and they felt like GRASSHOPPERS.

They believed in the GIANTS more than GOD!

2 looked to GOD and the GIANTS looked like GRASSHOPPERS.

Each interpreted the situation according their hearts.

The heart of FEAR saw the giants and said it can't be done!

The heart of FAITH saw God and said this is a wonderful opportunity for victory.

Story of boy and a barrel of treacle, shopkeeper had a barrel of treacle a boy came in and dipped his finger in it and the shop keeper caught him several times doing it. Eventually the shop keeper thought he would teach the boy a lesson and dunked him head first into a small amount of treacle left in the barrel. The boy's response was to say,

Give me a tongue to equal this opportunity!

The 10 spies had problems, not with the giants they could see but with the giants within themselves, because they were filled with fear and unbelief.

When you are fearful and unbelieving, you cannot be filled with faith!!

I wonder today what your giant may be?

Is it sin, a weakness, a disability, a sickness, a quick temper, resentment, a debt, jealousy, unforgiveness or whatever it may be?

The easiest thing for you to do is accept it, because it's stronger than you are!

You could excuse it and call it a trait, and blame it on your former generations, my father was in the Masonic etc. and say you inherited it.

If that is the case it means you believe more in your particular giant, and are submitted to it, and therefore must leave the land of opportunity and blessing unpossessed.

So many Christians are doing this today. They are not possessing their possessions, and are going without, trying to get free from what they have already been set free from at Calvary.

God called us and named us in Rom 8:37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

In Rom 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

In Eph 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

In Eph 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

In Phil 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

In Col. 2:10 Living Bible so you have everything when you have Christ, and you are filled with God through your union with Christ. He is the highest Ruler, with authority over every other power.

In 1 Thess. 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

God's Word has declared YOU CAN!

The land was given to them all they had to do was possess it, they didn't need to fight for it.

He has declared you to be his child and heir, He has given you power and authority. He has placed you in a spiritually rich, prosperous and fertile land. He has given it and called you to possess it.

He has placed you on the throne, you must decide to act like a king and not a beggar.

WHAT ON EARTH ARE YOU DOING FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE?

Are you confessing your faith in the giants of tension, worry, fear, sickness, anxiety, nervousness etc.

Or are you confessing faith in God's promise of peace, power, prosperity and provision.

God says YOU CAN have these things in your life!

You can be a conqueror!

You can be victorious!

You can have the victory!

Don't say you CAN'T when God says you CAN!

Believe God and don't fear the giants. God sees them as grasshoppers, so should you!

Eph 5:1 Living Bible Follow God's example in everything you do just as a much loved child imitates his father.

Let me say this to you today!

The giant only has the power you allow it to have over you. Your faith in it allows it to get bigger and gain strength in your life till you feel like a grasshopper beside it. But your faith in God and His Word will make the giant look like a grasshopper.

5 SETS OF EYES!

Do you know that grasshoppers can see in 5 different directions.

Left, right, in front and behind and also DOWN. They have no UPWARD VISION!

If you are as a grasshopper in your sight, then you have no upward vision.

Prov 29:18 KJV Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

Prov 29:18 NIV Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but blessed is he who keeps the law.

Prov 29:18 Living Bible Where there is ignorance of God, crime runs wild; but what a wonderful thing it is for a nation to know and keep his laws.

You can arise in faith and raise your voice with Joshua and Caleb, and say Num 13:30 NIV Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, "We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it."

YOU HAVE TO WATCH YOUR THOUGHTS!

You can't believe God for healing while you think about the power of sickness!

You can't believe God for prosperity while you think about the power of lack and poverty.

Prov 23:7 KJV For as he thinketh in his heart......

You are not what you think you are,

but what you think you are!

YOU MUST WATCH YOUR WORDS!

Mat 12:37 NIV For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned."

You will never have health while you talk sickness

You will never have prosperity while you talk lack!

Heb 3:1 KJV Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

Profession in Greek iHomologia and it means saying the same thing God says in His Word.

Jesus is the High Priest of what you say provided you say what God says!

You must learn to say what God says, don't let these negative contradictory words come out of your mouth they will bring death and sickness to you.

LET ME RECAP FOR YOU THIS STORY!
